THE SECOND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON RAILWAY STATIONS
SNCF and UIC are proud to be organising Next Station, the Second International Conference on Railway Stations. This gathering is a unique opportunity for all of us, major players with a stake in train stations, to come together from around the world, to meet and share our projects and visions for the future. Following on the first meeting, which was held in Rome in 2005, we felt it was important, for this second event, to ask ourselves about the model for the stations of the future, which will combine sustained development, quality in the services on offer and take into account the realities of the business environment.
Given a rapidly changing economy, facing the challenges of new markets, what role should be given to sustainable development – not merely as a gimmick, but as a true policy? What do we need to do to improve services and enhance the facilities in stations, while taking quality combined with innovation into account? And how do we provide competitive services for our customers, in an environment of heightened competition?
These exciting subjects will be tackled, together, throughout the two days of the conference, with input from operations managers, experts and executives from various fields.
For you who have a stake in railway stations, we have set the dates – December 6 and 7 – in Paris, so that you, too, can take part in this exceptional event.
